Jassem Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), revealed intentions to engage in discussions with the European Union (EU) in Brussels during the second week of Ramadan. The aim is to secure an exemption for Gulf citizens from the Schengen visa requirement.

Case for Exemption

Al-Budaiwi underscored the compelling reasons the Gulf countries have for seeking this exemption, expressing confidence in achieving it soon. He highlighted the recent approval of the unified Gulf visa during the 44th Doha Summit, which allows visitors access to all six GCC countries.
