In the 1950s, the simplest way to go racing was to buy a standard sports car and hand it over to a specialist who was able to work some magic and make the car go faster than its manufacturer intended. Most talented amateurs did just that. Among them was the owner of a sleek Austin-Healey 100/6 who bought his car in November, 1958, namely Mr. C.W. Andrews. His white Healey with red trim was then sent to Ruddspeed, the "speed shop" which at the time specialized in making those British sports cars
