Sharjah Airport Rolls Out a Special Welcome for Kuwaiti Travellers

Flying in from Kuwait just got a little warmer.

Sharjah Airport has launched a special hospitality programme to welcome Kuwaiti travellers, celebrating the close relationship between the UAE and Kuwait with a full week of cultural activities and personalised touches.

The celebrations kicked off on January 29 and are being held across the UAE.

A Welcome That Starts at Landing

The first flight from Kuwait on January 29 was greeted with a water cannon salute, setting the tone for the week-long celebrations at the airport.

Throughout the programme, Kuwaiti passengers are welcomed through dedicated passport control counters, making arrivals smoother and more comfortable.

Emirati Hospitality on Display

Travellers arriving from Kuwait are treated to traditional Emirati hospitality, including:

  • Arabic coffee

  • Symbolic welcome gifts

  • Folk performances

  • Themed decorations and branding

  • A special photo corner marking the occasion

The initiative runs under the slogan “The UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever”, highlighting the strong historical and cultural bond between the two countries.

Strong Travel Links Between Sharjah and Kuwait

Sharjah Airport currently operates 21 scheduled flights every week between Sharjah and Kuwait, reflecting strong travel demand and close people-to-people connections.

Airport officials say the programme reinforces Sharjah Airport’s focus on offering a smooth, welcoming travel experience while celebrating regional unity and cooperation.
