The book is made up of ten ancient Christian practices that may shock many today.

It is a bit like this, late at night with these portions of some old writings, when you come upon how the first Christians, in reality, led their day to day lives. Not the large melodramatic narratives which everybody knows, but the small mundane daily lives that made them, things that now sound so out of place that you stop. They were routines of eating, money, even greetings that we would nowadays find ourselves blinking at that they had been so much concerned with faith, except when they were meeting on Sundays. It is weird that so much was smoothed out over the years.
