UAE Issues Weather Alert as Rain, Strong Winds Hit Parts of the Country

The Ministry of Interior has warned residents to stay cautious as unstable weather conditions sweep across the country on Saturday.

Rain of varying intensity, strong winds, and thunderstorms are affecting multiple areas, with reduced visibility reported in some locations.

What to expect

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, yellow and orange alerts have been issued due to convective cloud formation across scattered parts of the UAE.

These conditions are bringing fresh to strong winds, along with blowing dust and sand that are lowering horizontal visibility. The weather is expected to continue until 8:00 pm.

Safety reminders

Authorities are urging residents to:

  • Slow down while driving

  • Avoid water ponds and fast-moving streams

  • Stay away from beaches and the sea

Dubai Police also advised the public to remain alert and follow official safety guidelines during the unstable weather.

Stay cautious

With changing conditions throughout the day, residents are encouraged to keep an eye on updates and plan movements carefully.
