What is the Sharjah Light Festival?

The Sharjah Light Festival features beautiful art displays, using innovative light technology and curated musical compositions, which are projected across popular cultural landmarks in Sharjah. 

The artwork is inspired by developments in science, nature, local culture and heritage, and endless creativity from internationally renowned artists. 

The Light Village in Sharjah

Before the opening of the 2024 Sharjah Light Festival, the Light Village will start on Feb. 1 and run until Feb. 18. 

The Light Village is located in front of the University City Hall in University City, Sharjah.

The Light Village will feature various cool light displays and installations as well as fun activities, entertainment programs, exciting rides, and delicious food for visitors!

  • Sharjah Police Headquarters
  • General Souq – Al Hamriyah
  • Kalba Waterfront

The Timings for the Sharjah Light Festival

The Sharjah Light Festival will run from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. 

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the festival will run till 12:00 a.m.

The timings during the weekend will allow family and friends to enjoy the beautiful light art displays late into the night!

Do You Need Tickets for the Sharjah Light Festival?

Visitors do not need tickets for the Sharjah Light Festival, nor do they need to register for entry. 

People can visit the venues for the Light Festival for free and watch the majestic light art displays!
