Abu Dhabi Government Employees' Ramadan Work Hours Announced

The official working hours for public sector employees in Abu Dhabi during Ramadan have been announced by the government.

From Monday to Thursday, government employees will work between 9 am to 2:30 pm, and on Fridays, the hours will be from 9 am to 12 pm. Additionally, on Fridays, remote work will be activated for up to 70% of government employees whose presence at the workplace is not necessary.

The UAE has also announced adjusted working hours for federal employees during Ramadan, with a reduction of 3.5 hours from Monday to Thursday and 1.5 hours on Fridays.

Ministries and federal agencies will operate from 9 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 9 am to 12 noon on Fridays unless the nature of the work requires a different schedule.

Private sector employees, as per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, will have their work hours reduced by two during Ramadan. Companies are allowed to implement flexible or remote work schedules within the specified daily working hours during the holy month, considering the nature of their work.
