Abu Dhabi Has Now Opened Its Borders To Tourists

UAE’s capital has finally opened its borders to tourists after three months to Dubai opening its borders.

As stated by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), reopening of the borders have been issued “to support recovery plans of the country’s tourism sector and economy”. 

All arrivals in the capital must be quarantined in their homes or hotel rooms as per convenience for a period of 14 days as instructed by the authorities. They also added that those traveling can be expected to be fitted with an electronic tag on arrival to keep a tab on the location for two weeks despite negative COVID results. 

From whichever country travelers are arriving from, Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad confirms that a medically-approved tag will be handed to them once they clear immigration. 

To visit any of the five emirates and Abu Dhabi it is compulsory that all travelers must a PCR nasal swab test before boarding their flights.
