Back-to-School 2025: UAE Leaders Share Inspiring Messages With Students

Yellow buses are back on the roads, uniforms are pressed, and chatter fills the hallways—yes, it’s the first day of school across the UAE. More than a million students kicked off the 2025–26 academic year today after a two-month summer break.

Leaders Send Their Love

President Sheikh Mohamed congratulated his “sons and daughters” while extending his wishes to parents, teachers, and administrators.

"I congratulate my sons and daughters, the students, and my brothers and sisters, the teachers and administrators, and the parents and mothers on the occasion of the new academic year."

He also called for teamwork between families and schools:

"I wish everyone a successful academic year based on cooperation between the family and the school, in which our children embark on acquiring knowledge with diligence and passion, adhering to good morals and pride in national identity. Education is the foundation of our developmental vision, and our qualified human cadres are our bet for achieving the better future we aspire to."

Last night, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also joined in with a cheerful message. He wished everyone well on this “new beginning,” praising the optimism it brings.

What’s New This Year

This school year isn’t just about fresh notebooks and new classmates—it comes with major updates. Schools now follow a unified calendar, the Arabic and Islamic studies curricula have been revamped, and for the first time, students will dive into an AI syllabus.
