E-commerce Growth Value to Exceed $8 Billion in the UAE 2025

Stefano Martinelli, head of the retail sector in the GCC region at Amazon Middle East and North Africa, stated that “the e-commerce sector in the UAE continued to achieve growth in 2021, reaching more than $5 billion, while this growth is expected to exceed $8 billion by 2025.”

He pointed out that "the growth forecasts received illustrate the extent of the estimated development opportunities in the sector, which will continue to strengthen its position to become a source of growth for the retail sector in the UAE."

He explained that “many tools have been launched to support local companies and small and medium-sized companies in the markets, including providing them with educational webinars, and skills related to payment processes and promotional benefits that allow them to reach customers, in addition to providing simplified logistics solutions for shipment.”
