We often like celebrities that we somehow can relate to in many different aspects, even if it is just anything in common as simple as our favorite color or nationality. There are many Hollywood celebrities of Arab origins that we already like. Here a list of celebrities with Arab roots.

Zoe Saldana

We might know Zoe for being born in New Jersey to a Dominican dad and a Puerto Rican mum. However, in a MBC interview that she is also part Lebanese.

Salma Hayek

Doesn’t the name ring a bell? As Salma is a very common name between Arabs as she is part Lebanese and part Mexican and Spanish. Her dad is from Baabdat, Lebanon, a city Salma visited in 2015 to promote her movie Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet.

Paula Abdul

The last name rings a bell too as Paula is of Syrian heritage. She was born in Aleppo, Syria, raised in Brazil and emigrated to the US.

Ariana Grande

Sometimes all that you will need is a genetic test to discover your roots and that is what Ariana did exactly. She took a genetic test and discovered her family line stems back to Algeria and Morocco.

Jerry Seinfeld

We might know Jerry as a comedian and one of America’s favorite stars but one thing we might not have known is that his mother was of Syrian ancestry and his dad was an immigrant from Turkey. Jerry can trace his heritage back to Ellis Island.

If you haven’t watched Wedding Crashers then you are missing out and Vince is known for his role. Vince can trace his Arabic ancestry back to his paternal grandmother who was Lebanese.

Her Hips Don’t Lie and she doesn’t either as she has always embraced her Lebanese part. Her Lebanese parental grandparents emigrated to New York. Much of her influences are Arabic from belly dancing to the best of the doumbek drum.
