FIM World Supercross Is Coming to Yas Island This November

The penultimate round (the fifth round) of the WSX Championship will be hosted by Dubai's Yas Island on November 4th and 5th of this year.

The World Supercross event is being held for the first time in the region.

With 40 of the top athletes in the globe competing for globe Championship gold, the FIM World Supercross Championship broadens the geographic scope of the sport.

The world series of motocross (WSX) mixes professional racing, freestyle motocross stunts, live entertainment, and premium venues to provide the best fan experience.

The first round was held at Villa Park at Birmingham on July 1^st, while the second round is scheduled to be held at the National Stadium of Singapore Sports Hub on September 30^th.

The Merkur Spiel Arena of Dusseldrof will host the third round on October 14^th.

On October 28^th, the fourth round will be held at Vancouver’s BC Place.

The final or the sixth round will be held at Malbourne’s Marvel Stadium on November 24^th and 25^th.

“We’re extremely proud to announce the WSX Abu Dhabi GP. Yas Island is known for the standard of excellence in hosting some of the biggest events in the region including other major events like Formula 1, UFC and NBA,” said SX Global’s CEO, Adam Bailey.

“This event will mark the first-ever Supercross event held in the region and is a significant milestone for both WSX and the sport of supercross. The fact that Abu Dhabi is the home of our strategic investment partner in Mubadala Capital, makes it even more special,” he added.
