How to Apply For a New Emirates ID in the UAE

Is your Emirates ID damaged, lost, or stolen? You should submit a form to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security- ICP about the occurrence as soon as possible. If you don't know how, we got you with all of the steps for the application for your ID.

Before going to the ICP Customer Happiness Centre you must bring along some papers and documents which include:

UAE nationals must bring in an original valid passport and a family book.

GCC nationals must provide a document proving their residency in the UAE.

Expatriate residents must bring their original passport stamped with a valid residency permit.

If the lost ID belongs to a child under 15, the parent must provide an original birth certificate of the child along with his coloured passport photo against a white background.

You may find an ICP Customer Happiness Centre in every city in the UAE; when there, notify them that you want to report an incident with your ID, and it will be deactivated immediately; if your ID is broken, bring it with you.

As mentioned on the UAE website you must follow these steps:

Apply for ID card replacement

After reporting the incident you must fill the form either in the center or on their app UAE ICP available on iTunes and Google Play and then request replacement of the ID card.

Pay the fees

The applicant must pay AED 300 for the replacement of a lost or damaged ID, in addition to application costs of AED 70 if applying through the centers, or AED 40 if applying using the ICA website's eForm. All UAE nationals, GCC nationals, and expatriate residents are subject to these fees. For an additional AED 150, you may receive an instant ID replacement service at ICA main's Customer Happiness Centre.
