Sharjah Announces up to 35% Discount For Traffic Fines

The Sharjah Executive Council announced that Sharjah will implement a new traffic fine discount scheme starting April 1st, 2023 to urge drivers to pay their fines on time.

If the fine is paid within 60 days of the violation, a reduction of 35% will be applied, and the vehicle concerned will not be subject to any impoundment fees.

Only a 25% reduction will be offered for payments made between 60 days and a year after the traffic violation occurred, and any impoundment fees must be paid in full as well.

After a year after the violation, there will be no reductions in fines that are paid. It has also been made clear by the Sharjah Executive Council that it won't apply to serious traffic violations.
