Dubai Mall to Close These Parking Areas for Expansion

Dubai Mall has announced the temporary closure of several parking areas and ramps as it continues its ongoing expansion. The closures will affect visitors' access to certain parts of the mall, leading to traffic reroutes.

Closed Areas and Traffic Changes

The following parking and traffic areas will be temporarily unavailable:

  • Lower Financial Exit ramp

  • Grand Drive Valet services

  • Upper Financial Exit Ramp

Traffic typically passing through these areas will be diverted via Grand Drive and Cinema P3. The mall has advised visitors to follow new signage and allow extra travel time to adjust to the changes.

New Grand Drive to Open Soon

In addition to these closures, Dubai Mall confirmed that Grand Parking will close in June. However, a new Grand Drive will open in August, improving access to the mall. The move is part of the mall's larger expansion project aimed at enhancing the shopping experience.

Renovation Work on Dubai Fountain

Along with parking changes, Dubai Fountain will also be closed for five months as it undergoes renovation. The work is expected to improve the iconic water display, though it will be temporarily unavailable to visitors.

Paid Parking System and Fees

Last year, Dubai Mall introduced a paid parking system in collaboration with Salik. Parking charges apply at Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking, while Zabeel and Fountain Views parking remain free. Visitors should be aware that parking fees are based on the hours spent in the lot, with a maximum charge of Dh1,000 for a 24-hour period.

The mall recommends checking for signs and planning extra time when visiting, especially during the ongoing construction period.
