Dubai Mall visitors, brace yourselves! Soon, driving to one of the world's largest shopping destinations will come with a parking fee, as announced by Salik in collaboration with Emaar Malls.

The renowned mall is set to implement a paid parking service, featuring a barrier-free system courtesy of Salik.

According to reports by Khaleej Times, the upcoming payment system aims to establish a 'seamless and efficient parking management system' at Dubai Mall, ensuring a smooth, barrier-free parking experience for patrons. 

The initiative is scheduled for implementation in the third quarter of 2024, with the exact pricing details yet to be disclosed.

The automated process will leverage vehicle plate recognition technology, and customers will be charged through their Salik user accounts, similar to the toll collection mechanism.
