Dubai's Museum of the Future to Close for Major Revamp

Dubai’s Museum of the Future will close temporarily in mid-September 2026 for a major exhibition refresh, with a brand-new set of immersive experiences set to open in the first quarter of 2027.

The museum shared the update on its official website and Instagram account. It said the new experiences will be inspired by ideas and feedback from people around the world. The reopening will also mark the museum’s fifth anniversary.

Current exhibitions remain open until September 2026

Visitors can still enjoy the current exhibitions until mid-September 2026 before the museum starts work on the next phase of its development.

The Museum of the Future is designed to keep changing and updating its displays to match new technologies, science progress, and global challenges. This upcoming refresh will replace the current galleries with new interactive experiences.

Since opening in February 2022, the museum has become one of Dubai’s top attractions. It has welcomed millions of visitors with exhibitions on artificial intelligence, space, climate, health, and sustainability.

The museum said more details about the new experiences will be announced later. The next attractions will include ideas shared by people from different countries.

The new experiences are expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, as the museum celebrates five years since welcoming its first visitors.
