Gulfood 2023 Affirms Dubai's Position as World Food Capital

In line with the UAE's Year of Sustainability, Gulfood will highlight sustainable initiatives and introduce multiple projects and events focused on promoting sustainability.

Two new events are said to be launched at Gulfood , Gulfood Green and Gulfood Agrotech, scheduled from 24 to 26 September 2024. These events will spotlight intelligent agricultural technologies and inventive practices that encourage eco-friendly food accessibility, sourcing, production, transportation, logistics, and distribution.

The events will also spread cutting-edge innovative concepts and products and offer insights into new methods of producing, trading, and consuming food. Additionally, it will focus on sourcing and clean-label products, eco-friendly packaging, plant-based food production and consumption, and reducing food waste in the supply chain.

Gulfood, the biggest yearly international food and beverage sourcing event in the world, is being held from February 20th to 22nd and hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).


Thanks to its cosmopolitan culture, Dubai has solidified its position as the global food hub, providing an array of diverse cuisines. The city's rich culinary traditions, talented chefs, and renowned food events guarantee that Dubai will continue to be a preferred destination for food enthusiasts for the foreseeable future.
