Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi Announces Official Opening Date

Top officials from the BAPS Hindu Mandir said that the public will be able to visit the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East in February 2024. Representatives remarked that the "festival of harmony" will be at its largest during the inaugural celebrations.

His Holiness Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj will preside over a Vedic ceremony on February 14, 2024, to officially launch the incredible temple, which is taking shape on a huge 27-acre plot of land in Abu Mureikhah. The "enlightening celebration of deep spirituality and faith" is a by-invitation-only event, according to a statement from the temple.

Indian residents of the nation will be allowed to participate in the festivities on February 15 by attending a public dedication assembly with Swami Maharaj. Registration prior to the event is required to participate in this ceremony.

“BAPS Hindu Mandir will be a spiritual oasis for global harmony. This festival will be a celebration that will bring India's art, values, and culture to the UAE.”

On February 18, 2024, the BAPS Hindu Mandir, which is being constructed under the direction of temple chief Brahmaviharidas Swami, will be made accessible to the general public.

The UAE government granted property in Abu Dhabi for the construction of a temple in August 2015. During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE, the land was given as a gift by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The ceremony to lay the foundation stone took place in February 2018. The pink sandstone structure is expected to last for more than a thousand years.

Worshipers can download the Festival of Harmony app or go to https://festivalofharmony.ae for more details about the opening ceremony and registration.
