Two Emiratis Were Killed in A Tragic Multi-Vehicle Accident

A multi-vehicle horrific accident killed a 17-year-old Emirati and a 44-year-old female citizen on Tuesday, Khaleej Times reported, citing an announcement by Emarat AlYoum.

Two more people were injured, with serious to moderate injuries.

The accident happened near the port of Fujairah, when two automobiles collided with a truck at a crossing road.

The Fujairah Police General Command arrived at the scene immediately and was able to rescue the other passengers.

Initial investigations, according to the Emarat AlYoum report, showed that the Arab truck driver was driving an overloaded vehicle.

Also, the civil defense team put out a fire that resulted from the accident.

Fujairah Police warned of the dangerous consequences of driving heavy vehicles at impermissible speeds.
