Burj Khalifa, the iconic structure developed by Emaar, illuminated the evening of November 3 to commemorate UAE Flag Day. UAE Flag Day is an annual event observed on November 3rd.

The flag was officially adopted in 1971, signifying the unification of the seven emirates. Over 1,000 designs were submitted for consideration, with six shortlisted before the final flag was chosen. Emirati national Abdullah Mohammed Al Maeena is credited with designing the UAE flag.

On November 3rd, households, businesses, and offices across the country raised the UAE flag to honor the unification of the Emirates.
