Embracing our differences is the new motto of our generation, and thus world Afro hair day was founded by Michelle De Leon, afro hair is for sure a symbol for the black community culture, but this day was founded to embrace the history of this beautiful culture and remind us that we are all distinct but we are all extraordinary in our own way

This holiday was led in 2017 by De Leon and was endorsed by the OHCHR - Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, it gained attention when it started in the states then throughout the world to get rid of any biases behind anyone who has got Afro hair.
