World Tennis League Comes to Abu Dhabi in December

The World Tennis League (WTL) announced a partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Miral, Abu Dhabi's leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, to host the prestigious tournament on Yas Island, one of the world's leading leisure and entertainment destinations, for the next three seasons.

Season two of the "greatest show on court" will take place from December 21st to 24th at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, and promises to provide exceptional experiences for both tennis and music enthusiasts.

The Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, and Kites will compete in a three-day Round Robin format, with the top two teams meeting in the final on December 24th.

Speaking at the signing, Rajesh Banga, Chairman of the WTL said: “Our Goal from day 1 was to create an exciting mix of World class sport and entertainment and we are very excited to be partnering with Abu Dhabi to bring ‘The Greatest Show On Court’, to Yas Island.”

General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council Aref Al Awani commented: “Abu Dhabi is proud to partner this World class event and we will continue to support the WTL to make it bigger and better every year. We witnessed an amazing inaugural tournament and we are sure the fans are going to love while looking forward to four exciting days of action on the court.”
