In a post that was later removed from Reddit, the woman questioned if she was being unreasonable in expecting her partner to make the "minimum effort" by wearing pink for the occasion.

The woman explained by stating that all her friends' boyfriends had dressed up for the movie, and she wanted to turn it into a special occasion, complete with taking pictures at the booth, and having a memorable experience.

“The pics would be for our eyes only, not social media,” the woman said.

The comments on the post showed a split opinion, with some believing that the boyfriend could have swallowed his pride for the sake of one date.
