This Barbie Fan Travelled from Dubai to Georgia Just to See the Film

Serah, a Barbie Superfan, traveled from Dubai to Georgia to catch the new movie and posted about it via Instagram, captioning the post, “When Barbie doesn’t come to you, you go to Barbie...” 

Serah couldn't wait to see the new Barbie movie and witness the magic of her favorite doll come to life. But fate had other intentions, as GCC nations suffered a temporary release delay. Serah's love for Barbie spurred her drive, pushing her to journey all the way to Georgia just four days after the film's first premiere.


 

The movie has become one of the most anticipated of the summer, and Barbie not only broke the opening weekend record for 2023; it also broke the first-weekend record for a female-directed film.

This movie aimed to attract a large audience, which it did. Barbie generated $214 million during its first five days at the domestic box office and topped $470 million globally.

Barbie showcased every minority group to be relatable to the biggest number of people possible.  A lot of women worldwide have said that Barbie has healed their inner child, and they are now grateful for all their mothers’ sacrifices. Barbie has become a worldwide sensation for many people because of all the wonderful ways it portrays coming to womanhood.
