Dubai Police Warn Against Fake Part-Time Job Ads Promising High Salaries

Dubai Police have issued a public warning over the growing number of fake part-time job advertisements circulating online, especially on social media platforms and certain websites.

According to the authorities, fraudsters are using these fake ads to lure victims with promises of high salaries, only to involve them in illegal activities such as opening bank accounts, transferring funds from unknown sources, or completing tasks linked to fraudulent operations.

The Anti-Fraud Centre at the General Department of Criminal Investigation emphasized that individuals who fall victim to such schemes and whose personal information is later used in crimes could be held legally responsible.

Authorities have urged job seekers to verify the legitimacy of employers before sharing any personal or banking details. “Individuals must not share personal or banking information with unverified parties,” police stressed, adding that such caution helps prevent misuse and potential legal trouble.

Dubai Police also encouraged the public to report suspicious job advertisements immediately through the eCrime platform or by calling 901.

Officials highlighted that public awareness is the first line of defence against these scams, urging residents to remain vigilant while seeking online job opportunities.
