Sheikh Zayed Road to Close for Two Days on These Dates

Motorists in Dubai will have to mark their calendars because Sheikh Zayed Road will close for two days: on Nov. 12 and Nov. 26.

The Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 12 because of the Dubai Ride, which is hosted by the Dubai Fitness Challenge. 

The Dubai Ride involves many cyclists riding down Sheikh Zayed Road, so the road will be closed for that day.

The road will also be closed on Sunday, Nov. 26 because of the Dubai Run, which is an event where seasoned and amateur racers run side by side along the Tarmac. 

The exact duration for the closure of the road on each day is yet to be shared by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Despite the road being closed on these days, commuters can still get to their destinations using the Dubai Metro, which will operate on both days.

For the previous edition of the Dubai Run, the Sheikh Zayed Road was closed in both directions from the Trade Center Roundabout to the 2nd Interchange.

The Lower Financial Center Street and Mohammed bin Rashi Boulevard Road were also closed during the event. 

Motorists should plan to take alternative routes if they need to get to a destination via the Sheikh Zayed Road.
