Turkish Expat Wins DH15 Million in UAE’s Big Ticket

The Turkish expat Sam participated in Abu Dhabi's Big Ticket Live Show for the first time and won the grand prize of Dh15 million in the draw held this week.

Sam, who has been living in UAE for four years and is the Managing Director of a pharmaceutical firm, participated in the Big Ticket draw where he purchased his ticket online in the first week of February using the buy-two-get-one-free offer.

After the announcement of the draw results, Big Ticket's representatives attempted to contact Sam Heidaritorshizi to inform him about his win. However, they couldn't reach him initially due to the surge of calls he received from his close friends who congratulated him. Sam expressed his joy and amazement at winning, as he had been checking the Big Ticket website repeatedly for the past week, hoping to find his name listed as a winner.

“Thank you, Big Ticket. You have changed my life,” Sam added.

Salim Albastaki, a UAE national and a long-time Big Ticket participant for 15 years, won the second prize of Dh1 million in the same draw. Salim learned about Big Ticket through an advertisement.

Big Ticket will host another live draw in April, where one lucky customer will win the grand prize of Dh20 million. This year, for the first time, nine other winners will receive guaranteed cash prizes during the live draw event.
