UAE President Announces 2023 'Year of Sustainability'

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announced on Friday announced that 2023 is the 'Year of Sustainability'.

Taking to his official Twitter account, Sheikh Mohamed said that "effective climate action requires a shared vision and collective will". "As the host of COP28, we are committed to fulfilling our role as a global convener," His Highness added.

The UAE leader said the country "will continue to support action and innovation in the field of sustainability".

The 28th global climate summit COP28 is set to be held at Expo City Dubai this year from November 30 to December 12 2023.
