President Sheikh Mohamed Attends the Opening of Expo 2023 Doha

President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed arrived in Qatar on Monday, Oct. 2. to attend the opening of the international horticultural event Expo 2023 Doha.

Sheikh Mohamed and his delegation were received by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Doha International Airport.

The President of the UAE was accompanied by Sheikh Tamin during his visit to the Expo 2023 venue.

He toured various pavilions throughout his visit, which included the pavilions of the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, GCC, Türkiye, and Italy.

Sheikh Mohamed wrote on X "I was pleased to attend the opening of @Expo2023Doha and commend my brother @TamimbinHamad and host nation Qatar for promoting innovation in the sustainability field. By raising global environmental awareness, Expo 2023 Doha will inspire collective action for a greener tomorrow."

The UAE pavilion at the Expo 2023 will present the theme of 'Nurturing Legacy'. The pavilion will share a poetic story of UAE's dreamers and pioneers.

The UAE pavilion will also display the enduring bond between communities and nature.

The UAE pavilion will show the country's history of promoting innovative ways of developing agriculture.

Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Tamim also watered some Sidr trees along with leaders, country representatives, and invited guests.
