UAE Announces New Year Holiday for Private Sector

UAE's private sector will get paid leave on Jan. 1, 2024, for the New Year's holiday, which means that private sector employees will get a three-day weekend to ring in the New Year. 

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization announced on its X page. 

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announces that Monday, 1 January 2024, will be New Year’s Day paid holiday for all private sector employees in UAE.

New Year Holiday for UAE's Public Sector

The Federal Government of Human Resources also announced that UAE's public sector would get paid leave on Jan. 1, 2024, which means that public sector employees will also get a three-day long weekend.

Various iconic locations in the UAE will host fireworks shows on New Year's Eve such as the famous Burj Khalifa.
