UAE's Public Sector to Get 3-Day Weekend for New Year's Holiday

Employees in UAE's public sector will be happy to know that they will get a holiday on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, which means that they will get a three-day long weekend for New Year's holiday.

The Federal Government for Human Resources released a circular on Dec. 21, stating that public sector employees will get paid leave on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

Work for the public sector employees will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. 

New Year Holiday for Private Sector

The private sector New Year holiday will soon be announced and is expected to also fall on Jan. 1, which means the private sector employees might also get a three-day weekend for New Year's holiday.
