Abu Dhabi to Host UAE’s First-Ever K-Pop Workshop

K-pop stans, this one’s for you. Abu Dhabi is about to bring your dream closer to reality with the UAE’s first-ever K-pop workshop — and yes, it’s totally free.

K-pop Training From the Real Deal

From August 20 to 22, Dee Studio will host the Kpop Academy X DIMA Dream School, a workshop led by Korea’s top K-pop institute — the Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA). These are the folks behind stars like Hoshi from SEVENTEEN and Sung Hanbin of ZEROBASEONE. Expect dance, vocals, and even video production training straight from industry pros.

What to Expect

The sessions are split by age groups — youth, adults, and kids — and you’ll learn choreography for hits like:

  • BTS – “I NEED YOU”

  • BLACKPINK – “JUMP”

  • NewJeans – “Super Shy”

  • Tracks from Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters like “TAKE DOWN” and “SODAPOP”

Bonus: the children’s session includes video production, so it’s not just about the stage — it’s about behind-the-scenes magic too.

August 20 – Youth

  • Dance (1 PM – 3 PM): HUNTR/X – “GOLDEN,” BTS – “I NEED YOU”

  • Vocal (3 PM – 4:30 PM): HUNTR/X – “TAKE DOWN,” BTS – “I NEED YOU”

August 21 – Adults

  • Dance (1 PM – 3 PM): BLACKPINK – “JUMP”

  • Vocal (3 PM – 4:30 PM): BTS – “Life Goes On”
