H.H. Sheikh Mohamed and President El-Sisi Discuss Peace in El Alamein

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the coastal city of El Alamein on Sunday.

The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to support peace and stability in the region.

According to the state news agency WAM, they highlighted the importance of working closely together to protect regional security.

President El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed upon his arrival at El Alamein Airport. The UAE delegation included Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad, along with several ministers and officials.

This meeting reflects the strong, long-standing friendship and deep ties between the UAE and Egypt.

Both countries continue to work together to support civilians facing a difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

In February 2024, the UAE set up a floating hospital in the Egyptian city of Al Arish. This facility helps provide essential medical care to Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict.

The UAE also runs a humanitarian aid center in Al Arish near the Gaza border. Here, Emirati and Egyptian teams work together to make sure vital aid reaches families in need.
