Dubai Police's Mounted Police Station recently caught a criminal gang who has been carrying out thefts in the emirate.

A car was moving suspiciously when the police ran its number plate in the federal traffic system to check its status.

Captain Youssef Muhammad Al Mulla and First Lieutenant Ahmad Rashid Al Kaabi tried to pull over the vehicle as the plate number and car description did not match the data recorded in the system but the driver sped off.

The officers gave chase after alerting other patrol units and later arrested three men and seized four vehicle registration plates as well as tools used in burglary. Investigations revealed that the suspects were planning to carry out thefts.

"Dubai Police patrols chased the suspects' vehicle, arrested three Asians, and seized four vehicle registration plates, burglary tools, and 29 bottles of alcoholic beverages," explained Major General Muhammad Issa Al Adhb, director of the Dubai Mounted Police Station.
