Spanish Footballer Andres Iniesta Meets the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah

Spanish footballer Andres Iniesta met the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi at an official reception in the emirate on Tuesday, Aug. 15, in honor of Iniesta's recent transfer to Emirates Club.

Sheikh Saud was joined by the Chairman of the Emirates Club at the reception. 

The ruler of Ras Al Khaimah wished Iniesta success in his career and praised the various achievements of his career.

Sheikh Saud also said that Iniesta's transfer would help inspire future generations to pursue football and his signing will also help advance the professional game in the UAE.

Iniesta thanked Sheikh Saud for his hospitality and shared his aspirations for his new team.

The footballer is a midfielder who has won nine league titles and four Champion League crowns with Barcelona.

Iniesta also helped Spain win the FIFA World Cup in 2010 as he scored the winning goal in the final. 

The midfielder is expected to make his debut in Emirates Club's 2023-2024 league season opener at Al Wasl on Saturday, Aug. 19.
