Due to rising tensions in the region, Emirates has announced the cancellation of flights to Iraq, Iran, and Jordan for Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 and 3, 2024. Flydubai is also suspending its flights to these countries, along with Israel.

Flight Cancellations Confirmed

Emirates' official statement confirmed that all flights to and from Basra and Baghdad in Iraq, Tehran in Iran, and Amman in Jordan are canceled on these dates. Additionally, several flights, including those from Dubai to Bahrain (EK 837/838), Kuwait (EK855/86), London (EK31/32), and Muscat (EK866/867), will also not operate.

Passengers connecting through Dubai to these destinations will not be allowed to travel from their starting points until further notice. Those affected are advised to reach out to their travel agents or Emirates directly for rebooking options.

Flydubai Adjustments

Flydubai has also been impacted by the closure of some airspace. Flights to Amman and Ankara have returned to Dubai, while other flights to Jordan, Iraq, Israel, and Iran (excluding Bandar Abbas, Kish, and Lar) are also canceled for October 2 and 3.
