In a major humanitarian effort, the UAE launched the largest phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 today, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The operation aims to provide essential relief to the people of Gaza, offering much-needed assistance amid the region's ongoing crisis.

Humanitarian Truce Opens Door for Expanded Aid

The launch of this massive aid phase coincides with the announcement of a humanitarian truce, providing a unique window to intensify relief efforts. This pause in hostilities offers hope that more aid can reach those most affected by the ongoing conflict and suffering in Gaza.

Convoy Delivers Over 200 Tonnes of Aid

As part of today's operation, a convoy of 20 trucks has been dispatched to Gaza, carrying over 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid. The convoy includes food supplies, winter clothing, and other basic necessities, aimed at offering immediate relief to families suffering in the region. This vital support will help alleviate the hardships caused by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

UAE’s Ongoing Commitment to Gaza

Hamad Al Neyadi, Head of the UAE Relief Mission, emphasized that this phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is the largest of its kind in the series of humanitarian initiatives the UAE has led since the operation's launch. The UAE continues to demonstrate unwavering support for Gaza, reflecting the nation's deep commitment to standing by the Palestinian people.

The operation is being conducted in full coordination with relevant authorities to ensure that the aid reaches those who need it most, as swiftly as possible.

A Legacy of Humanitarian Aid: Over 29,000 Tonnes Delivered

To date, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has delivered an impressive 156 aid convoys to Gaza, bringing approximately 29,784 tonnes of humanitarian aid. This significant effort has made a real difference for Gaza's residents, particularly for vulnerable groups in desperate need of food, medical care, and shelter.

The UAE’s aid continues to address urgent needs, including helping families through the harsh winter conditions and providing much-needed support to ease the suffering caused by the ongoing conflict.

Key Humanitarian Projects: Healthcare and Water Initiatives

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is about more than just delivering food. It also includes healthcare and infrastructure support, such as the establishment of a field hospital in Gaza and a floating hospital in Arish, Egypt. These hospitals are equipped with specialized medical units that provide emergency care and surgeries, playing a critical role in saving lives.

The operation also addresses water scarcity through projects like desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt. These plants have a capacity to produce two million gallons of fresh water per day, helping provide clean water to thousands of families in Gaza.

One of the most innovative initiatives under the operation is the "Birds of Goodness" program, which airdrops aid to areas in Gaza that are difficult to reach by land, particularly in the northern parts of the region.

Operation's Broad Scope: Over 500 Airlifts and 2,500 Trucks

For over 441 days, the UAE has been committed to supporting Gaza through more than 500 airlifts, five transport ships, and over 2,500 trucks that have crossed into Gaza from Egypt. This extensive logistical effort ensures that aid continues to flow into Gaza despite the challenging conditions on the ground.

A Lasting Positive Impact

The UAE’s efforts are more than just short-term relief; they are part of a broader, long-term commitment to the people of Gaza. The UAE’s humanitarian operations reflect the deep bonds between nations and the importance of sustained support to create a lasting positive impact on the lives of those affected by the conflict.

By providing essential aid, healthcare, and infrastructure, the UAE is helping to rebuild lives and provide hope to the people of Gaza during one of the most challenging periods in their history.
