Armed Man Arrested By Dubai Police At Murder Scene

An Arab national, who stabbed another man, was arrested by two Dubai police officers on Friday at Freij Murar area. The officers were honoured for their quick action.

Around 2pm, Corporal Abdullah Al Hosani and policeman Abdullah Noor Al Din were patrolling the area when the man was threatening to attach anyone who approached him.


A huge crowd had gathered around the man near a grocery stone when the officers quickly disarmed him and "tied him up while waiting for back-up", senior officers at the Naif Police station added.

Further investigation revealed that the killer and his victim had entered the store together, and the knife attack unfolded as they were leaving. The attacker then left him to bleed, and stopped other pedestrians from helping him.

The victim was pronounced dead despite receiving first-aid by paramedics at the crime scene.

The criminal has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
