What Was the Reason Behind the Sharjah Power Outages on Friday?

Power disruptions occurred in several areas of Sharjah on Friday as a result of a technical issue at a gas plant.

The impacted areas included Al Majaz, Al Ta'awun, Abu Shagarah, Al Yarmouk, and Al Nahda.

The problem has been fixed, according to the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and the power supply has been progressively restored.

The problem at a gas plant in the Al Saja'a area, which disrupted the flow of gas to the power stations, was quickly fixed by specialized specialists, it was stated.

Sharjah Media tweeted, "The specialized work teams proceeded to isolate the main valve feeding the electricity stations in Sharjah, returning gas flow through it by 80%, which contributed to the complete restoration of electricity. Work is also underway to address the major technical fault and restart the entire gas complex."
