New Service in Dubai to Deliver Driving License Within Two Hours

The delivery of driver's licenses and vehicle registration cards will soon be made easier as a result of new services introduced by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority.

With the new service, Dubai residents may receive their driver's licenses and vehicle registration cards in two hours, while Abu Dhabi and Sharjah can receive them on the same day.

For sending deliveries to customers overseas, a new service has also been launched.

“The operation of the Autonomous Electric Abra is in line with RTA’s efforts to achieve Dubai’s Strategy for Self-Driving Transport that aims to convert 25 percent of the total mobility journeys in Dubai into self-driving journeys by 2030,” said Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, RTA.

What is the price of the new services added by the RTA?

The pricing for the services, which include Premium, Same Day, Standard, and International are as mentioned below:

• Dubai has been provided with premium service. Only two hours are expected for delivery, and the price is Dh50.
• For Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, same-day delivery service is available for Dh35.
• The standard service for the UAE costs Dh20 and often takes one to five days.
• International service costs Dh50 and delivers in around 10 days.

The Premium and Same Day delivery services are offered Monday through Friday from 7.30 am to 12 pm.
