You Can Soon Renew Your Emirates ID at 24-Hour Kiosks Around the UAE

UAE nationals and residents will be happy to know that they will be able to get their Emirates ID renewed anytime at kiosks.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) is working on a project, which includes UAE nationals and residents getting their passports or Emirates IDs renewed instantly.

When the project is successful, the kiosks will be placed at prime locations across the UAE such as airports and malls.

The Federal Authority has already set on display the kiosk at the Gitex Global at the Dubai World Trade Center.

In the first phase of the project, people will be able to submit their biometrics through the kiosk, which will save people the time of booking appointments at the ICP offices. 

The kiosks will also be able to print passports for UAE nationals and visas for visitors. 

Foreign visitors can also submit their biometrics at the kiosks to get SIM cards for their stay in the UAE.

People will also be able to take photographs, capture fingerprints, and submit signatures at the kiosks. 

The project can be rolled out after the successful completion of trials in 2023 or 2024.
