Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi Reopens Its Doors To The Public

This gleaming architectural marvel has also implemented the necessary safety measures

This welcoming mosque has always welcomed visitors from around the world and would have around 55,000 worshippers and visitors every day. However, due to the novel coronavirus, its doors has to remain shut to the public since March 15 to curb the spread of the virus. 

An announcement made by the Emirates News Agency(WAM) confirmed that Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque will welcome visitors from Sunday October 4.

In addition, The Founder’s Memorial, a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed, which is on the Corniche, near Emirates Palace which will also reopen.

Various safety measures including the use of thermal cameras, a limit on the capacity and an online booking system will all be put in place for all the visitors. Due to social distancing laws, tours will not take place as yet. 

The rules to be followed have been displayed on site for visitors to stay aware of all the precautionary measures that need to be implemented as they visit.
