A fire that broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone in the UAE has now been brought under control, according to state media.

Officials said the blaze started after debris from a drone fell into the industrial area. The drone had been intercepted by the country’s air defense systems before reaching its target.

State-run media confirmed the situation is now contained.

Drone intercepted before impact

Authorities said air defense systems successfully intercepted the drone, preventing it from directly hitting infrastructure.

However, falling debris landed within the industrial zone, sparking a fire that quickly drew emergency response teams to the scene.

Officials did not immediately report any casualties.

Key oil storage hub near Fujairah Port

The incident happened at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, located beside the Port of Fujairah.

The site is one of the Middle East’s largest commercial storage hubs for refined oil products, playing a key role in the region’s energy supply and maritime trade.

Emergency crews responded quickly, and authorities confirmed the flames have now been contained.
