UAE President and Sheikh Mansour Attended the Champions League Final

The president of UAE and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended with his brother, Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Manchester City's owner, the Champions League final match in Turkey yesterday.

On Saturday night, Pep Guardiola's side faced Serie A giants Inter Milan in the European showpiece on Saturday night, with the Premier League and FA Cup winners on the brink of a historic treble.

The members of the royal family made a rare appearance at a City game. They were joined by City chairman Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in their box.

Since 2008, the date when Sheikh Mansour bought the club, he only attended one competitive match which was held in 2010 between Manchester City and Liverpool. Almost 13 years later, Sheikh Mansour was seen attending the Champions League final in Istanbul.

The last time Sheikh Mansour attended City in a live match was when Shaun Wright-Phillips, Patrick Vieira, Joe Hart and Emmanuel Adebayor were still a part of the club.

Sheikh Mansour also attended other live matches for City in Abu Dhabi. Both were exhibition matches, one on a pre-season tour and the other on a mid-season training camp.
