What are the Security Measures Across Dubai for Eid al Adha 2023?

The Events Security Committee for Dubai has declared that Eid Al-Adha preparations are completed. To ensure that the holiday period is safe and secure, government agencies and police departments have put in place a thorough plan.

There are up to 3,500 police officers working the security operations, along with 465 security patrols, 66 traffic sergeants, 14 maritime security boats, 10 marine rescue boats, 17 land rescue patrols, 2 helicopters, 29 bicycle patrols, and 165 beach lifeguards.

In addition, there will be a deployment of 798 private security personnel, 123 ambulances, 75 civil defense vehicles, 24 small cranes, and 738 paramedics.

This involves protecting mosques and large spaces where Eid prayers are held, increasing patrols along busy streets, and boosting security in popular tourist destinations, shopping malls, open markets, and other public areas.

Maj Gen Abdullah Al Ghaithi, assistant commander-in-chief of operations and chairman of the Events Security Committee said, “We will intensify patrols of all kinds to secure the city and we urge motorists to follow up traffic laws and speed limit to avoid accidents.”

UAE Residents were urged by the authorities to reach out to 901 in non-emergency situations and 999 only in serious emergencies.
